Step 1: count the people, then add two
Think about the braai you host most often, not the biggest one you have ever hosted. Then add a couple, because people bring people.
Our range splits cleanly: the Mini feeds 4 to 6, the Family 6 or more, the Charcoal 4 to 8 on coals, the Cater around 12kg or four to five chickens per load, and the Lamb Spit a full 30kg carcass.
Step 2: decide how often you will use it
A few times a year for family lunches? A Mini or Family is plenty. Every second weekend with friends? Go Family and never think about it again.
Running functions or selling food? That is Cater or Lamb territory, and both are built to order — allow 5 to 10 working days while yours is welded for your order.
Step 3: choose your fuel
Gas is set-and-forget and holds a steady heat for hours. Charcoal gives you the smoke flavour but needs tending every 45 minutes.

Step 4: check the practical stuff
- Power: Mini, Family and Charcoal run on two D batteries. Cater and Lamb use a 220V plug.
- Storage space: the Mini is 450 × 325 × 325mm; the Lamb Spit is 1250 × 1500mm and rolls on wheels.
- Transport: everything up to the Charcoal fits in a boot. Cater and Lamb need a bakkie or a trailer.
- Cover it: a waterproof UV ripstop cover keeps rust off, and it is 30% off when bought with its spit.

Prices are shown live on each product page and are always current — we never publish a price here that could go stale. Delivery is a flat R600 anywhere in South Africa, and you are welcome to book your own courier instead.
